Sacred Reflection
I. Welcoming & Setting the Intention (5 minutes)
Welcome, everyone. Today, we’re carving out intentional time to come home to ourselves—to slow down and create space for clarity and connection with your inner knowing.
This isn’t about forcing anything to happen or reaching a particular outcome. It’s simply about listening and honoring whatever arises with curiosity and compassion.
Take a moment to settle into your space. Allow yourself to arrive fully—letting go of all the doing and thinking that may still be lingering. You’re here, and that’s enough.
II. Aromatherapy & Self-Massage (5 minutes)
This next part is about inviting a deeper sense of calm and presence. Take your aromatherapy blend and place a drop or two onto your fingertips.
Gently massage:
• Temples: Using slow, circular motions, gently massage your temples.
• Behind the Ears: Massage the space just behind your ears and along your jawline, releasing any tension you may be holding.
• Hands: Rub your hands together, then press your palms over your face, inhaling the aroma deeply.
Let this beautiful scent invite you to release any lingering tension and drop further into presence. Let it be a signal to your body that it’s safe to soften.
III. Breathwork (10 minutes)
We’ll begin with a gentle breath pattern to continue inviting calm and ease. Inhale deeply through the nose for a count of four, hold for a moment, then exhale slowly through the mouth for a count of six.
(Guide everyone through several rounds of this breathing pattern, inviting them to release tension with each exhale.)
Now, let your breath find a natural rhythm. Feel the calmness it creates, the space within you softening and expanding.
IV. Journaling (25 minutes)
(Encourage them to keep the aromatherapy blend close by, reapplying as needed to stay connected to that sense of calm.)
“From this place of stillness, we’ll move into our journaling practice. I’ll offer you a series of prompts to explore. There’s no need to rush. Let the words come naturally, and know that whatever comes up is perfect.”
Journal Prompts:
1. Arriving Home:
• “Right now, what feels most present within me? Without overthinking, write what arises.”
(3–5 minutes of writing.)
2. Honoring What Is:
• “What is something within me that wants to be acknowledged today? This could be a feeling, a thought, a memory, or even something unnameable.”
(3–5 minutes of writing.)
3. Listening to Your Inner Knowing:
• “If I trusted myself fully, what would I most want myself to know in this moment?”
(3–5 minutes of writing.)
4. Embracing Trust:
• “Where in my life can I soften my grip and trust the unfolding a little more?”
(3–5 minutes of writing.)
5. Carrying Clarity Forward:
• “As I move into the rest of my weekend, what intention or quality do I most want to nurture within myself?”
(3–5 minutes of writing.)
Reflection Invitation:
“Take a few moments to read over what you’ve written. Not with judgment, but with kindness and openness. If something stands out to you, feel free to underline or circle it. Let yourself simply be a witness to your own voice.”
V. Closing Meditation & Self-Massage (10 minutes)
(Invite everyone to place their journals down and find a comfortable seated position or lie down.)
“Place one hand over your heart and one hand over your belly. Feel the gentle rise and fall of your breath.
Take a deep, slow breath in…and release it fully. Again, deep breath in…and out. One more time, breathe in deeply, and let it all go.
Let your breath return to its natural rhythm. Feel the support of the ground beneath you. Feel the presence of your own being, steady and whole.
Self-Massage Integration:
• Place your fingers on your shoulders and gently squeeze, releasing any tension held there.
• Gently massage along your jawline, letting your face relax completely.
• Place your hands over your heart and your belly, feeling the warmth and connection of your own touch.
Rest in this stillness. Allow yourself to simply be.
Trust that whatever arose during this time is exactly what needed to be seen and felt. Trust that you are being guided.
Take a moment to offer yourself gratitude for showing up and being here. When you feel ready, gently open your eyes and bring this sense of connection and clarity with you into the rest of your day.”
VI. Closing Words (5 minutes)
“Thank you all so much for being here and sharing your presence and energy. My hope is that you leave feeling more at home within yourself, with a bit more clarity and calm.
This space is always here for you—to return to whenever you need to listen a little more deeply. You are always welcome here.
Take your time easing back into your day. And if anything came up that you’d like to share or ask about, I’m here.”
